Nurturing Young Spirits Through Education

Sri Adichunchanagiri Rural Children Education Development Program (SACRED)

Sri Adichunchanagiri Math stands as the preeminent and sanctified spiritual hub within the rich legacy of Natha’s heritage. The original center, nestled in Chunchanagiri of the Nagamangala taluk in Karnataka’s Mandya district, has evolved into a vast network, extending its branches not only across different parts of India but also reaching foreign shores, including America and Sri Lanka. Today, the math proudly oversees more than 500 educational institutions, boasting a dedicated staff of over 33,000 individuals, with an enrolment of 150,000 students across various schools and colleges. This educational empire operates under the enlightened and sacrosanct administration of Sri Swamiji.

Pioneering a transformative educational revolution in rural areas, Sri Adichunchanagiri Math launched the Vidya Vidyalaya project in 2018 through the Astra Adichunchanagiri Educational Trust. This visionary initiative seeks to illuminate the minds of children by fostering a holistic environment in rural settings, emphasizing teachings in Yoga, Meditation, concentration, bhajans, and moral values.

The Vidyodha Vidya Vikasana project, a cherished endeavour of Parama Poojya Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, transcends traditional educational boundaries. More than a commitment to classroom teachings, it represents a dream project with the noble aim of ensuring neglected children, in particular, attend school every evening for two hours without fail. Teachers from the BGS institutions have generously volunteered their expertise, contributing to this sacred work without any financial compensation.

At the heart of this sacred educational program lies the profound objective of instilling awareness within parents, children, and other family members about the importance of cleanliness, health, education, a disciplined work culture, and collaboration. Teachers involved in the Vidya Vikasana scheme are carefully selected based on their personal experiences and unwavering commitment. They undergo specialized training in selected villages, aligning their skills with the project’s envisioned objectives outlined by Swamiji. This collaborative effort strives towards the ultimate goal of universal prosperity, ensuring that every child, regardless of circumstance, receives the gift of education and a path towards a brighter future.
